William Russell Fuller was born February 28, 1923, in Mount Savage, Maryland to the late William and Bessie (Davidson) Fuller. He passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 in the Hays Medical Center at the age of 87.

As a child, Russ attended schools in Ravenna, Ohio.


On June 26, 1942, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Klinehample in the Nazarene Church in Ravenna. Russ then worked as an electrical engineer for Hydro Air in Burbank, California. After retiring, Russ and Sylvia moved to WaKeeney in 1983. Sylvia passed away in 1993.

Russ was a member of the Harvestime Assembly of God Church in WaKeeney.


During his spare time after retirement, Russ helped in the local flower shop. He was an avid bowler and also collected die cast model cars and put car models together. He enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and was a talented woodworker.


Those left to mourn his passing are a son, David Fuller and wife, Judy, of Simi Valley, CA; a daughter, Kay Powers of WaKeeney; six grandchildren, Heather Ramos, Holly Gabbard, Jessica Sandstoe, Tiffany Sandstoe, Robert Simonson and Lowanna Nesvold; and ten great-grandchildren.

His wife, Sylvia; a daughter, Kathy Sandstoe; and a sister, Mildred Price preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM until time of Service at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney. Reverend Harold Demoret is officiating and interment is in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
