Wanda Jo Knoll, age 88, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born October 20, 1925, in Billings, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loren and Mattie J. (Harsh) Williams.

Wanda was a 1944 graduate of Billings High School. After high school, she attended and graduated from Wichita Business College in 1945. On November 19, 1960, she married Jake P. Knoll, in Wichita. They enjoyed 43 years of marriage together, until Jake's death on January 29, 2004. Wanda worked as a secretary for Skelly Oil, and was also a proud homemaker. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She loved to read, and was known by friends and family for her talent in the kitchen as a wonderful cook. She will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include a son, Dale Knoll of Quinter; a daughter Elaine and husband Rodney Miller of Topeka; six grandchildren, Jared, Aaron, and Dylan Knoll, and Noel, Nathaniel, and Grant Miller; and a sister, Jeanette Olbert of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Fletcher Williams; four sisters, Kathryn Frazier, Ruth Gaskill, Mary Meagher, and Lena Dougherty.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Collyer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
