Timothy John Billinger was born September 4, 1958 in WaKeeney, KS to Alvin P. and Marie (Moos) Billinger. He passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital at WaKeeney at the age of 51.

He attended grade school in Collyer and Trego Community High School in WaKeeney.


Tim spent his early years as a truck driver. His days as a truck driver allowed him to see much of our beautiful country. He also was an avid gardener and hunter. Doing both allowed him to be one with nature which he loved very much. He spent many days and nights fishing, camping, and hunting with his sons.

Those left to mourn his passing are his mother, Marie Billinger of WaKeeney; a son Dusty Billinger of WaKeeney; two step-daughters, Shawna Aschenbrenner and husband, Ronnie, of WaKeeney, Michelle Stegman and husband, Jeremiah, of Victoria; a brother, Larry Billinger and wife, Lauri, of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Judy Bollig and husband, Eddie, of WaKeeney; Janie Dixon of Decatur, TX, Cathy Millard and husband, Jerry, of WaKeeney; five grandchildren, Bailee Billinger, Gracie and Kelby Aschenbrenner, Miranda and A. J. Stegman; and many nieces and nephews.

Those preceding him in death were his father, Alvin; a son, Heath Billinger, and two nephews, Darin Bollig and John Eck.

Services for Tim will be Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 2:30 PM in Christ the King Catholic Church at WaKeeney. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17th 5:30 to 7 PM with vigil at 7 PM in Schmitt Funeral Home at WaKeeney.
