Tad Wayne Glick, age 44, of Quinter, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in rural Gove County after a long struggle with depression. He was born September 2, 1969 in WaKeeney, to Lyle Clifton and Janice Kathleen (Ziegler) Glick.
Tad graduated from Quinter High School in 1988 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in agriculture at Kansas State University. He enjoyed life in Phoenix, Arizona until his move home to the family farm near Quinter in 2006. Tad enjoyed following Kansas State athletics and NFL Football. He was especially proud of his Ford Mustang convertible and his faithful dog, Gus. He always kept his body in top physical condition with exercise and nutrition.
Survivors include his parents, Lyle and Janice; three brothers, Kevin Glick of Erie, Colorado, Darin Glick and wife Mary of Quinter, and Waylon Glick of Lenexa; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Xavier and Irene Ziegler and Delmar and Willadeen Glick.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2014 at Schmitt Funeral Home in Quinter. A private family inurnment will take place in the St. Michael Cemetery in Collyer.
