Obituary
Sylvia Ann Kinderknecht was born January 29, 1945, in Hays KS, to Alfred and Catherine (Weber) Eberle. She passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010, in the Salina Regional Health Center at the age of 65.
She graduated from Ellis High School with the class of 1963. On October 21, 1967, Sylvia was united in marriage to Victor Kinderknecht in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Ellis, KS.
Sylvia was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Altar Society in WaKeeney and a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Ellis.
Multi-tasking was her specialty. She worked in food services in the WaKeeney Grade School for several years, was employed by WaKeeney Post Office, and later operated a daycare in her home. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren and always made sure their needs came first. She loved to cook, bake and play bingo and cards, particularly pinochle. Holidays, especially Christmas, were her favorite times to share with her family as she always made times very special.
Sylvia is survived by her mother, Catherine Eberle, WaKeeney; her husband, Victor, WaKeeney; children, Sara Dunn and husband, Darren, WaKeeney, Michelle Wilson and husband, Cale, Oakley, Eric Kinderknecht and wife, Mandie, WaKeeney, Tina Walt and husband, Brad, WaKeeney; ten grandchildren, Kylie, Kacie, and Dillon Dunn, Cameron Staples, Katelyn Wilson, Austin, Hannah, and Kelsey Kinderknecht, Carson and Brecken Walt; and twelve siblings, Twila Bliss (Glen), WaKeeney, LeRoy Eberle (Jacky), WaKeeney, Kenny Eberle (Sherry), Ellis, Marilyn Wildeman (Willie), WaKeeney, Ron Eberle (Ellen), Grainfield, Melvin Eberle (Gail), Oakley, Gloria Eberle (Ron), Lawrence, Dennis Eberle (Marilyn), WaKeeney, Debbie Sasso (Merv), Aurora, CO, Bonnie Windholz (Bill), WaKeeney, Larry Eberle, WaKeeney, and Terry Eberle (Kathy), WaKeeney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her father, Alfred; and a sister, Linda Weigel preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2010 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM in Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney, KS.
Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2010 in Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Donald Pfannenstiel officiating. Interment is in Christ the King Cemetery, WaKeeney, KS.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or Christ the King Parish Hall and can be sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th, WaKeeney, KS 67672.
