Susan K. Keller, age 65, died peacefully on March 26, 2013 at home in Quinter after a year long battle with cancer. Susan was born November 29, 1947, in Quinter, Kansas, the first daughter born to Charles LeRoy and Willa Dean (McConkey) Graham.
Susan attended Quinter Public Schools until the family moved to Colorado Springs the end of her junior year. She graduated from Wasson High School in 1965. Following high school, Susan attended beauty school and received her beauticians license. After losing her first husband, Susan returned to Quinter with her two children. Susan enjoyed helping and caring for people. In 1980, she received her nursing license and for 30 years was a dedicated nurse at Gove County Long Term Care facility.
In 1983, Susan married her long time classmate and best friend, Bob Keller. They enjoyed nearly 30 years of wonderful companionship. They loved traveling together and spending time with each one of their 4 children or many grandchildren. Susan had a passion for the Colorado Rockies especially when the Aspens were changing colors.
Susan loved to read, work in the garden, trying new recipes and spending time with her beloved cats. One of her all time favorite things to do was to Face-Time with her children and grandchildren.
Survived by her husband, Bob Keller; her parents, LeRoy and Willa Graham, Colorado Springs, Colorado; beloved children Cheri and husband Bryan Hadler, Yelm, Washington; Christopher and wife Priya Hunter, Morristown, New Jersey; Jason and wife Yvette Keller, Maplewood, New Jersey; Nathan Keller, Park, Kansas; sister Debi and husband Jack Lemmon, Bryan, Texas; sister Becki and husband Ted Knox, Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Jennifer Madden, Denver, Colorado; treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jonathan, Cameron, Colin, Teagan, Jaden, Maya, Jake, Julian and Zowie.
Susan was a beautiful wife, cherished daughter and wonderful mother. She will be truly missed by all.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at ten o'clock in the morning at the Church of the Brethren, Quinter.
