Stella M. Cichonski, 51, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Gove County Medical Center. She was born July 13, 1962, in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a Park resident for most of her life.
For a good part of Stella's life she owned and operated a cap factory. Her love for cooking was evident as she also worked as a cook at the Gove County Hospital and the Q-Inn in Quinter.
Stella was united in marriage to Jack Cichonski, September 24, 1988 at the United Methodist Church in Quinter. She was a member of
Quinter United Methodist Women and Eagles Lodge of WaKeeney. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Jack of Park; daughter, Amanda Cichonski of Ellis; mother, Helen Ott of Coshocton, Ohio; brother, Tim Ott of Coshocton, Ohio; sister, Ruth Gay of Dodge City; and three grandchildren, Toby Cichonski,
Beth Molton and Alex Molton, all of Park. She was preceded in death by her father, James Scaife.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in WaKeeney. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the cemetery.
