Sharon Lea (Mathews) Owen, age 77, of Hill City, KS, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. She was born March 19, 1943 to Albert and Florence (Mueller) Mathews in Waterloo, IL. She was united in marriage to Frederick Owen on August  16, 1995 in Goldsboro, NC. They enjoyed 25 years of marriage together.

Sharon enjoyed antiquing, visiting flea markets, interior decorating, and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by both parents; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and her son. She is survived by her beloved husband of the family home; daughter Tammy (Duffy) Howell of Goldsboro; sons Gary Wren of Goldsboro and Marty Ray Wren, of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Jean Parolin of Bonne Terre, MO, and Sandy Miller of Hollywood, FL; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation was chosen, and burial will take place in North Carolina at a later date.
