Obituary

Ruth M. Von Lintel passed away at the age of 85, Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, KS.

On September 25, 1951 she was united in marriage to Norbert Von Lintel at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Collyer, KS. He passed away February 7, 1999.

Ruth attended Rural Harmony Elementery School and graduated from Quinter High School in 1945. She was a Senior Companion and a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Collyer Altar Society. Ruth enjoyed listening to books on tape, cooking, movies and spending time with her family. Ruth's Christian faith was very important to her and she passed this along for her kids to embrace. She gave them faith to hold on to and made the church to be an important part of their lives. Ruth was a great mother who always put her kids first. She was always willing to take time to listen and to give advice and support to her children. We always knew we had a person on our side through thick and thin, Ruth worked hard all her life for her family. She was never afraid to speak her mind and never lost her great sense of humor. She was deeply loved.

Mourned by her passing include sons, Alan Von Lintel of Overland Park, KS, Dale Von Lintel and wife Veronica of Scotts Bluff, NE, daughter, Eva Junk and husband Mark of Hays, KS, daughter-in-law Bonnie Von Lintel of Elkhart, KS. Ten grandchildren, Andrew Von Lintel, Matthew Von Lintel and wife Aubrey, Kathia Wiegers and husband Grant, Melissa Petrin and husband Mike, Amy Moran and husband, Chris, Alisha Von Lintel, Jacob Von Lintel, Adam Von Lintel, Caden Junk and Seth Junk. Three great-grandchildren, SammiJo Wiegers, Ava Moran and Gavin Von Lintel. Sister, Cora Flora and husband Lowell of Quinter, and brother, Charles Bittel and wife Pat of Blue Springs, MO.


Son, Samuel VonLintel, daughter-in-law Annette Von Lintel, brothers Elmer Bittel and Wilbur Bittel, sisters, Marietta Younger, Viola Michel, Bertha Schertz all precede her in death.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Collyer.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Schmitt Funeral Home in Quinter KS. Vigil is at 7:00PM
