Rosa A. Hall, originally from WaKeeney, Kansas and a long-time resident of Boulder, Colorado, died peacefully after an extended illness on April 25, 2013 at Better Place Adult Family Home in Puyallup, Washington. She was born Rosa Alwine Dietz in WaKeeney, the second of four children. After her marriage she moved to Boulder with her husband Warren, where she was a homemaker and worked for twenty years at Neodata. Rosa enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and decorative arts and crafts. She was a devoted parishioner at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Boulder, and in her later years at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bonney Lake, Washington. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Amelia Dietz, brother Emil Dietz, and sister Hilda Reitmayer. Husband Warren R. Hall passed away November 3, 2000. She is survived by her brother Lester Dietz (Claudine) of Denver, CO, daughter Rita Lockwood (Todd) of Bonney Lake, WA, three grandchildren Aubrey, Tyler, and Caitlyn, and son David Hall of San Francisco, CA. A private celebration of her life was held in Sumner, WA.
Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney.
Interment, will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery south of WaKeeney.
