Obituary
Renilda Malsam Hecker, 90, passed away March 10, 2015 in Canon City, Colorado. The daughter of George and Frances (Keller) Malsam, she was born August 10, 1924 in Collyer, KS.
Renilda was united in marriage to Liberatus "Lib" Hecker on April 10, 1944 in Collyer, KS. She was an artist and enjoyed quilting. A volunteer at the Tourist Information Center in Canon City, she also volunteered at the Abbey Gift Shop, and with Meals on Wheels.
Renilda is survived by her sons, Gordon Lee (Tita), Jordan George (Rosie), and John Rem (Robin). She is also survived by grandchildren; Christopher, Heidi, Chad, Ryan, Elizabeth, Alec, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lib; and grandson, Callan.
Renilda had a big heart and was loved by many including, her brothers and sisters; their families and many friends.
A Memorial Service with inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Church in Park, Kansas on Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 am. Arrangements are under the care of Holt Family Funeral Home of Canon City, CO. and Schmitt Funeral Home of Quinter, KS. Online condolences @ www.holtfamilyfuneralhomes.com
