Pedro Gonzalez Perez-Perez, age 13, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2024. Born to Tomas Perez Castro and Petrona Perez-Perez on May 23, 2011, in Garden City, Kansas, Pedro touched many lives with his warmth and joyful spirit.
Pedro was known for his radiant smile and positive outlook on life. Described by his teachers and friends as a happy-go-lucky kid with an infectious laugh, Pedro could brighten any room he entered. His classmates loved him for his one-liners and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone around him.
Passionate about life, Pedro found joy in a variety of pursuits. He loved playing basketball, practicing his trumpet, and cooking delicious treats for his family, all of which he did with a heart full of love. His caring nature and eagerness to learn new things made him a cherished friend and an inspiration to those who knew him.
Pedro will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves a legacy of kindness, laughter, and a reminder of how precious each moment can be. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Pedro is survived by his parents, Tomas Perez Castro and Petrona Perez-Perez; half-brother, Lucas Perez Pu, half-sister Dominga Perez Pu, sisters, Maria, Dominga, and Catalina Perez-Perez, Quinter, Kansas.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., August 9, 2024, at the Church of the Brethren in Quinter, Kansas. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Brethren, Quinter, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Pedro Perez-Perez Memorial Fund. Donations may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 Main St Quinter KS 67752.
