On September 6, 2012, Orra Mae Lindberg left this earthly life and joined her Heavenly Father. Orra Mae (Brandenburg) was born on the family farm in Grainfield, Kansas. She attended schools in Grainfield, Russell and WaKeeney--graduating from Trego Community High School.

On September 14, 1941 she married Eldon Lindberg. Eldon passed away September 30, 1976. Orra Mae lived most of her adult life in WaKeeney, Kansas. She worked for Glen Fowler Abstracting and then for Henry Deines at his Insurance Agency. In 2005 she moved to Greeley, Colorado.

Survivors are daughter, Lajune Pearson and husband, Billy of Greeley, Colorado, grandchildren, Lance and Tracy Hays of Greeley, Colorado and T.A. and Jennifer Hays of Ellis, Kansas, great-grandchildren Garrett and Jacelyn Hays of Greeley, Colorado and Sidney and Carter Hays of Ellis Kansas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Norma Jean and Chet Goodheart, Gerald and Radonna Brandenburg, Janet and Dick Balfour, Gary Norman, Cindy and Harold Goya, and Al Brandenburg. Also surviving are special church friends Lavonne Reeder and Grace Satran of WaKeeney, Kansas, plus numerous PEO sisters and WaKeeney friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elba and Jenny Brandenburg, sisters, Dorothy
Norman and Wilma Brandenburg and brothers Floyd Brandenburg and Melvin Brandenburg. Two Brandenburg babies also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Schmitt Funeral Home of WaKeeney with Reverend Larry Danforth officiating. Burial will be in the WaKeeney city cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
