Neva Jean (Hillman) Hardman passed away suddenly and peacefully on December 25th, 2009. She was born May 11th, 1949 to Lyle V. Hillman and Alma Jean (Frazier) Hillman in Hays, KS.
She graduated from Trego Community High School in 1967.
She was united in marriage to Robert A. Hardman on May 1st, 1971 in WaKeeney, KS. They resided in Olathe, KS for 34 years before returning to western Kansas.
Neva and Robert were blessed with two daughters, Cori and Rebecca and one son, Mark. Neva was a life member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and a proud, active member of AA for nearly 26 years. During this time she touched many lives in many ways. Family guided Neva's heart and she cherished each and every one of them. She found her true joy in life spending time with her grandchildren and beloved toy fox terriers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Jean and a nephew, Aaron.
She is survived by her husband Robert of 38 years, daughters, Cori of Kansas City, KS, Rebecca of Ottawa, KS, son Mark and wife Angie of Olathe, KS; five grandsons Matthew, Christopher, Anthony, Jonathon, and Aiden; two granddaughters, Nicole and Allison; her sisters Delora Shively, T.J. Norris, Edna Conley; and brother Ed Hillman; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends; plus special friend, Liz Gritz.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney with Reverend Brad Bray officiating. Inurnment is in WaKeeney City Cemetery at a later date.
