Nancy Louise Cooper, age 65, of Grainfield, KS, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Hays Medical Center. She was born November 22, 1948 in Quinter, Kansas to Fred and Clementine (Felt) Baalman. She married John Cooper on May 4th, 1968 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Grainfield.

She was a beautician who took pride in her occupation. She enjoyed spending time with her husband fishing. She also enjoyed playing bingo and sewing. She was a member of Christian Mothers, St. Agnes Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, John of Grainfield; a son, Kurtis Cooper of Jefferson City, MO, and two daughters, Kelly Perry and husband Robert of Sawyer, KS, Kimberly Marcotte and husband Sean of Damar, KS, brother, Lyle Baalman of Nebraska, five grandchildren, Ashley Schmidt of Pratt, KS, Blaine Perry of Sawyer, KS, Kedra Dopita of Plainville, KS, Kiley and Kirsten Marcotte of Damar, KS, two great grandchildren, Piper and Reed Schmidt of Pratt, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leroy, and Larry Baalman and one sister, Ida Cooper.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Grainfield. Burial will be in the Grainfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 6:30. All will take place at the funeral chapel, in Quinter, KS.
