IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Louise
Roesch

Mary Louise Roesch (Jennings), of McPherson, Kansas (formerly Quinter, Kansas), age 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 31, 2026, at The Cedars Long Term Care in McPherson, Kansas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by service, creativity, and deep love for her family.
Mary was born on March 1, 1940, to Roy Lee and Cora Belle Jennings (Grim) in Bloomfield, Missouri. She attended and graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas, in 1958.
Mary was married to Royce Alan Roesch on December 17, 1960, at the First Central Church of the Brethren in Kansas City, Kansas. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage and built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and compassion. From this union, they were blessed with four children: daughters Paula, Michele, and Amy, and son Brian.
Mary was a Certified Nurse Aide who spent many years caring for others with quiet dedication and kindness at Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, Kansas. In her later years, she continued sharing her compassionate spirit as a Home Health Aide and Senior Companion, offering comfort, friendship, and support to those in need. She also worked tirelessly beside her husband on the farm and was known by family and neighbors for delivering hot meals to the harvest fields to feed the crew at lunchtime.
She was known for her love of Christmas and took great joy in decorating her home for every season. Baking, tending flowers, and creating warm, welcoming spaces were among her favorite pastimes. Mary had a special gift for making holidays and everyday moments feel meaningful, and her home was always filled with laughter and the aroma of something baking.
Mary is survived by her children: Paula Sargent, Quinter; Brian Roesch (Linda), Quinter; Michele Roesch Johnson (Eric), McPherson, Kansas; and Amy Crist (John), Quinter; grandchildren Justin Roesch (Kayla), Katie Bizzell (Eathan), Dylan Sargent, Zach Roesch (Jen), Tim Roesch (Heidi), Aubrey Roesch, Jesse Roesch (Rachel), Addie Schneider (Kris), Tate Johnson, Scott Crist (Kassie), Jaci Wenger (Brian), Brett Crist (Danielle), and Kylie Henkelman (Chandler); great-grandchildren Elijah Bizzell, Rylee Roesch; Aiden and Emilynn Roesch; Madison, Olivia and Naomi Roesch; and Madison and Tatum Wenger; along with many nieces and nephews.
