Mary Treasa (Brown) Good, beloved sister, devoted daughter, and cherished friend, passed away on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 30, 1967, to Veronica (Ashbaugh) Brown and Donald Bertrum Brown.
Mary was a compassionate soul whose presence left a lasting impact on all those she encountered. With a fervent love for creativity, she found solace in crocheting exquisite designs and crafting intricate diamond art pieces. Her eyes radiated with joy during lively card games with loved ones, infusing every moment with laughter and warmth. Tending to her beloved flowers brought her immense joy, making it one of her cherished pastimes.
Mary found profound happiness in the company of her loved ones, treasuring every moment spent together. Whether it was exchanging stories over a cup of tea, enjoying serene moments by the lake, or simply relishing each other's presence, she held these times dear with her family and friends. Her affection extended to her animals, whom she regarded not merely as pets but as cherished companions, bringing her solace and delight.
Mary had a favorite song that always brought a smile to her face, "Purple Hippopotamus for Christmas." The playful melody captured her playful spirit and brought back cherished memories of holidays spent with loved ones.
Mary Treasa (Brown) Good will be deeply missed by her sibling, Don Brown Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Extended family included many aunts and uncles, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she has left this world, her kindness, laughter, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Donald and Veronica (Ashbaugh) Brown; brother, Andrew Brown: grandmother, Teresa Ashbaugh and many aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, KS. A visitation will be held at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a vigil starting at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Gove County Eldercare and Masses in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 South Main, Quinter, KS 67752 in Mary's honor.
Rest in peace, dear Mary. Your memory will forever be a blessing to us all.
