Margaret Heier, age 90, of Oakley, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Logan County Manor in Oakley. She was born on the family farm south of Grainfield on February 1, 1923 to Bernard and Julianna (Kuntz) Heier.

Margaret was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Oakley. She was brought up in a faithful Catholic family and was very devoted to her prayer life. Throughout most of her working life, she kept busy by cleaning houses for others. She is survived by one brother Bill and wife Josephine of Quinter; one sister Magdalena Zerr of Grainfield; one half-sister Martina Bockwinkel of Oakley; two half-brothers Felix and wife Catherine of WaKeeney and Dominic of Oakley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers Augustine, Francis, Alfred, Edwin, and Wilmer; one sister Antonia Weber; and one half-brother Wilmer Nicolas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Grainfield. Burial will be in the Grainfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday with a parish vigil immediately following, at the funeral home.
