Lucille Feezor was born south of Ellis, KS on April 24, 1914, to the late Jess H. and Grace L. (Coleman) Brown. She passed away, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the Trego county Lemke Memorial Hospital at WaKeeney at the age of 95.
On May 6, 1935, Lucille was united in marriage to John William Feezor. Together they farmed side by side in rural Trego County. John passed away March 28, 2001.
Lucille was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Ogallah. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, embroidering, and entertaining company.
Survivors include a son, Marvin and wife, Pat, of Ulysses; a daughter, Darlene McCoy and husband, Kenneth, of WaKeeney; four grandchildren, Bob McCoy and wife, Mary Jo, of WaKeeney; Terry McCoy of Eldorado, Eric Feezor and wife, Holly, of Ulysses, Karla Hennebold and husband, Jon, of North Plains, OR; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Wilfred Dietz of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; four brothers, Roger, George, Alfred, and Clifton Brown; and four sisters, Elsie Wahlborg, Violet Lessor, Nina Dietz, and Dorothy Schuman.
Family and faith were the most important things to Lucille and she is known best for her caring heart. She has graced our history and our lives forever.
Funeral Services are planned for Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home with Pastor's Jon Anderson and Melinda McCluskey officiating. Burial will be in the WaKeeney City Cemetery.
