Obituary
Loren C. Beougher, 79, of Raytown, MO passed away on Oct. 5, 2012. Funeral services will be Saturday Oct. 13 at the Methodist Church in Gove, KS. Visitation at 10am, services at 11. Burial at Gove Cemetery with military honors. Loren was born in Orion, KS on Oct. 17th, 1932 to Merlyn and Vivian Beougher.
He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Oriskany in Korea from 1951-1955. He earned a BSEE from Kansas State University in 1958. He married Jo Ann Bethurum of Paola, KS on Aug. 23, 1960. He earned a MSEE in 1968 and PhD EE in 1971 from the University of Missouri. He worked for Bendix until his retirement in 1986.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Ima Lee Heier.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Ann; 2 brothers, Marvin and Elton; 3 sons, Ray Von (Kelly), Roy Vern, Kevin Lee (Linda); 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the DAV Memorial Program or Gove County Historical Association and can be sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home 336 N. 12th WaKeeney KS 67672.
