LoLeeta Ann Beaver Pitts , 67, died Friday morning, December 7, 2012 in Quinter, Kansas. She was born June 1, 1945 at Hadley Memorial Hospital in Hays Kansas. She grew up on the family farm south of Quinter Kansas with her mother Vera Eleanor Stanton Beaver and Harley Leroy Beaver, stepfather.

LoLeeta had surgery soon after her birth and was challenged by health issues throughout her life. She was baptized Oct. 14, 1945 in Ogallah, and later became a member of the Banner Methodist Church on Dec. 23, 1962. She attended Hackberry Elementary School and Quinter High School. She furthered her education at Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1970. On Dec. 24th, 1970, she was united in marriage to Raymond Pitts at the United Methodist Church in Quinter, Kansas.

She enjoyed needlework, reading, games, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She loved living in her apartment in Hays for many years.

LoLeeta is survived by three sisters and their families: Sharon Salyers and husband, Jack of Quinter Kansas; Susan Elliott and husband, Don of Odessa, Texas; and Karen Purvis of Hays, Kansas. She is also survived by nieces Amy Coffel and Jennifer Purvis and nephews, Rodney Salyers; John Elliott, Michael Elliott, and Michael Purvis; and 5 great-nieces and nephews. LoLeeta was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Mark Purvis.
