In 1987 they moved to his Great Aunt Thelma Bretton's farm. The greatest joys of his life were Teresa, his wife of 30 years, and the birth of his two sons, Hayden Lee Lewis on November 26, 1988 and Conner Scott Lewis on May 10, 1994. He was a loving husband and father. He was very proud of his boys. Larri also treasured the times he spent with his friends.

Larri was an ABS (American Breeders Service) Representative, which he started as a hobby. He liked working with his customers throughout Northwest Kansas. He always had the gift of gab, but also knew the business. He received an award from ABS for being 7th in the nation in sales. Larri loved to dance. He learned to dance at home with his dad and mom. He taught many girls to dance throughout his years. Dancing was what brought Larri and Teresa together. They even won a few dance contests in their younger days.
