Quinter resident, Kenneth E. Searls, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Via Christi – St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. He was 57 years of age. Kenneth was born December 31, 1955 in Atwood, the son of Roy and Betty Jeanne (Howard) Searls.



On August 12, 1983, Kenneth was united in marriage to Tammy Wark in Colby. Kenneth worked for D.C. Welding of Quinter as a welder. He loved being outdoors, especially if it was on the road, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He cherished time spent with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Tammy; his parents; four sons Chris Searls and wife Michele, Jacob Searls and wife Holly, Justin Barrett and wife Janelle, and Brandon Searls; one daughter Angela Searls; one brother Dan Searls; one sister Debby and husband John Sandoval; and ten grandchildren Kelley, Keri, Chloe, Justice, Brayden, Lauden, Ethan, Gracie, Hayley, and Addison. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Ann Heim.



Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Quinter Church of the Brethren with Pastor Keith Funk officiating. There will be no visitation as his body was cremated.
