Kay Ann Michellich was born July 12, 1956. Her parents are the late Alvin A. and Ludmilla R. 'Millie' (Schulte) Berens. She passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at her
home in WaKeeney, KS at the age of 53.
She graduated from TMP Marion Catholic School in Hays.
On January 3, 1994, she was united in marriage to Mark Michellich in Las Vegas, NV. He survives of the home.
Kay worked as a cashier for IGA in WaKeeney. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to Cedar Bluff Lake, riding horses, and attending the Country Stampede in Manhattan. She treasured the times spent with her son, Brandon, and her two Labs, Chester and Clyde.
Survivors include her husband, Mark, of the home; a son, Brandon Wilson and Peggy Hardy of WaKeeney; a brother, Keith Berens and wife Stacey of Pensacola, FL; three step-daughters, Amy Michellich of Manhattan, Jessica and Sara Michellich, both of Salina; and three step-grandchildren, McKenzie Winter, Hunter, and Trinity Fairbanks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Karen Key.
A Memorial Service for Kay will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney. No visitation is planned.
