Obituary
John Michael Stefan was born February 14, 1955, in Quinter, KS, to the late Melchior and Theresia (Wildeman) Stefan. He passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010, in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney at the age of 55.
He graduated from Trego Community High School in WaKeeney with the class of 1973.
John worked as an oilfield pumper. He resided in Ellis, KS until February of 2010 when he moved to WaKeeney. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoors person and loved to hunt.
Survivors include a stepson, Ashley Heaton, Hays; a brother, Edward Stefan, WaKeeney; three sisters, Phyllis Barton, Freemont, NE, Eileen Rader and husband, Jerry, Durhan, KS, Louella Kaiser and husband, David, WaKeeney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents; and a brother Melvin Stefan preceded him in death.
There will be no services or visitation as per his wishes.
