February 3, 1962 – March 1, 2022
Floyd Blackwill, Jr., age 60, passed away on March 1, 2022, at Saint Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. He was born on Feb. 3, 1962, in Wakeeney, KS., the son of Floyd, Sr., and Margaret (Brown) Blackwill of Quinter, KS. On July 16, 1982, he married Jill Goodheart in Quinter, KS. He was a resident of Quinter, KS from birth. He drove for Blackwill & Sons Trucking for over 20 years then moved to the farm where he was a farmer/rancher.
Jr was a devoted, loving husband, father, and Papa. He truly loved traveling and spending the latter years of his life on the beach with his wife or at the lake with family and friends. He loved watching his grandkids' activities and treasured all the trips to Mexico with them. He was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with the ones he cherished.
Survivors include his wife, Jill of the home; two sons, Trevor (Katie) Blackwill, Quinter, KS., Trent Blackwill, Shawnee, KS.; 3 grandchildren, Braelyn (12), Easton (11), and Tripp (4) (Trevor); father, Floyd Blackwill, Sr., Parump, NV; 5 brothers, Keith (Melesia) Blackwill, Hobbs, NM, Tom (Terra) Blackwill, Quinter, KS., Terry (Shauna) Blackwill, Norton, KS., Forrest (Amanda) Bradford, Nashville, TN., and James Ty (Andrea) Bradford, Oakland, CA.; 3 sisters, Sandi (Dallas) Armbruster, Paola, KS., Letitia Bradford, Sacramento, CA., and Myria (Randy) Harris, Pittsburg, CA.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by Margaret Brown (Mother), Darla Blackwill (Step-Mother), and numerous Grandparents.
Memorial Services will be held at Quinter High School Gymnasium on March 12, 2022, at 1:30 P.M.

A portion of the funds will be used for the research of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
