Dixie L. Moore was born July 7, 1928 in Chillicothe, MO to Homer and Ova (Foster) Pash. She passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital at WaKeeney, KS at the age of 81.
As a young lady she attended school in Garden City, KS and graduated from Garden City High School with the class of 1946.
On August 25, 1947, she married Glenn Moore at Dalhart, TX. Dixie worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry for many years. She later worked for the Trego County Extension Office. Glenn died on June 14, 1990.
Dixie was a member of the Ogallah Christian Church in Ogallah and was a faithful Senior Companion for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita Mead of WaKeeney and Rita Weber and husband Gary of WaKeeney; one foster son, Lonnie Byers of Ozark, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Tiffany Heit and Jacob Weber; great-grandson, Chace Heit.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Glenn and a brother Wayne Pash.
Memorial services were held, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Ogallah Christian Church at 10:00 a.m with pastor's Wayne Lofton and Stan Faulkender officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, KS.
