Darlene Joyce Gerstner, age 78, of Quinter, KS, passed away on November 7, 2020, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS. Darlene was born to Delbert and Roberta (Duffey) Wilson on September 1, 1942 in Sidney, Nebraska.

Darlene received her GED and continued on to receive her LPN degree from Colby College. She was united in marriage to James Gerstner on June 20, 1959.

Darlene is survived by 4 daughters; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by both parents; 1 sister; and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Kidney Association. Donations to the organization may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 Main St. Quinter, KS 67752.
