Cory French, 43, passed away October 8, 2019 in WaKeeney, Kansas.  He was born April 3, 1976, to Sandra and David French, in Wichita, Kansas. Cory moved every few years for 16 years of his life, before his father retired from the Air Force in 1992 and moved the family to Wakeeney.  After graduating High School in 1994, Cory had quite a few different jobs ranging from Machining, Welding, Construction, and Farming. In his spare time he really enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending all of his time with his dog Buddy.

Survivors include, two brothers, Lance and wife Mu of Pasadena, Maryland, Gary and wife Kristin of Steamboat Springs Colorado; sister, Melanie and husband Aj Shehata, of Junction City Kansas; two nephews, Kennan French, Caidan French; and three nieces Michaella French, Layla Shehata, & Alina Shehata.

Cory was preceded in death by his parents, Sandra French and David French, a Niece Caitlynn Morrison, and his grandparents Duane and Elaine Newcomer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Christ the King Catholic Church, or the American Diabetes Association ( wwww.diabetes.org ). Contributions can be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N. 12th St, Wakeeney, KS 67672 or left on the website at www.diabetes.org
