Obituary

Lifelong WaKeeney resident, Clyde Lang, Jr. , passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. He was born June 30, 1928 on the farm in rural Trego County, to Clyde and Beulah (Bennett) Lang.

On June 30, 1949, Clyde was united in marriage to Twila Snodgrass in WaKeeney. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage together. Twila preceded him in death on January 23, 2003. Clyde was a bricklayer for many years. He was known for his quality work and dedication to what he enjoyed doing. He enjoyed hunting coyotes with his greyhound dogs, and never turned down an opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Gary and wife Wanda Lang and Lonnie Lang, both of WaKeeney; one daughter Moe and husband Bob Hemken of Pawnee Rock; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Graveside funeral services and inurnment will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2013 at WaKeeney City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation as cremation has been chosen.
