April 18, 1941 – February 21, 2021
Clarita (Richmeier) Kollhoff, age 79, of Ransom, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Grisell Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, Ransom. Clarita was born April 18, 1941, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Dinkel) Richmeier in St. Peter, Kansas.
Clarita grew up in St. Peter, attending St. Anthony's School up to the 8 th grade. In 1961, she was married to Vernon Kollhoff in Hutchinson, Kansas, and enjoyed 24 years of marriage until his untimely passing in 1985. To this union were born 2 sons. She worked for several years as a seamstress in a warehouse, and also as a hostess at McDonalds. Clarita was always a very happy person, and a ray of sunshine in the lives of those around her. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and meticulously choosing which words to play in a game of Scrabble.
Clarita is survived by her sons Glyne (Rhonda) Kollhoff of Royse City, Texas and Wayne (Sharleen) Kollhoff of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; granddaughters Camberly (Ryan) Sheffield and Randi (Matthew) North; great-grandchildren Maverick and Novymber North, and Sunni Sheffield; brothers Edwin Richmeier of WaKeeney, Kansas, and Larry (Jackie) Richmeier of Lake Okeechobee, Florida; sisters Blanche Zerr of Grainfield, Kansas, Eileen Bellairs of Ogallah, Kansas, and Carmella Jones of Lafayette, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Clarita in death are her parents; beloved husband Vernon; and sister Luella Kinderknecht.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, March 1, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney, with burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, in St. Peter.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Clarita Kollhoff memorial fund. Donations may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home 336 N 12 th St, WaKeeney, Kansas 67752.
