Clara Lucille "Lucy" Zahn, 80, of WaKeeney, Kansas, passed away on November 29, 2022, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. Lucy was born in Morland, Kansas on June 30, 1942, to Mervin Alvin Stithem and Mary Ellen Stithem (James). Her father passed away when she was just 8 years old, and her mother eventually remarried. She graduated from Hill City High School, Hill City, Kansas.

Lucy was united in marriage to Raymond Zahn on April 25, 1971; they were married 51 years. She worked at Mary's Daylight Donuts with her mother, Mary Knoll, for several years before opening a fabric shop which she closed in the early 1990s, then worked as a waitress for
Helen's Café until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in WaKeeney.

Lucy was a kind-hearted and loving lady who spent her life caring for her family. She was a friendly and giving lady, always ready with a smile, and loved to chit-chat with people. She loved her family with every fiber of her being and would go to the ends of the earth for her
loved ones. She was often misunderstood but always had the best intentions. She simply wanted to live life doing the things she loved with the people she loved. She was also a spunky lady with a stubborn streak and would fight for those she loved and for what she
believed in. She will be greatly missed.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Raymond, of the home; three sons, Mark Zahn and fiancé Carol of Quinter, Nathan Zahn and wife Tina of Wichita, Kendal Zahn and wife Dwana of Ellis; one daughter, Marla Woods, of WaKeeney; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild; one sister, Alma Bird, WaKeeney; numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Alex Knoll; two sons, Alan Zahn and Tim Zahn; and her brother, Eugene Stithem.
