Celestina "Sally" Genevieve Ziegler was born March 7, 1914, in Unity, Saskatchewan Canada to the late Valentine and Anna Maria (Zimmerman) Wildeman. She passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 in the St. Johns Health Care Center in Victoria, KS. She was a Homemaker.


She attended school in Park, KS.

On May 16, 1933, Sally was united in marriage to Leo J. Ziegler in Park, KS. He passed away July 4, 2003. Sally moved to Victoria, KS in August, 2003.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making clothing, cooking, gardening, and raising her seven children. In the later years, she liked stringing beads, playing cards, and bingo.
Survivors include five sons, Robert and wife, Deanna, of Lawton, OK, Marvin and wife, Helga, of Russell, KS, Wilfred and wife Ann, of Youngstown, NY, David and wife, Marianna, of Kemp, TX, and Louis and wife, Margaret, of Collyer, KS; two daughters, Eileen and husband, Robert Schmidt, of Santa Ana, CA, and Leona and husband, Jule Grippin, of Flagstaff, AZ; one brother, Anthony (Tony), of Ness City; two sisters, Clara Guest of Denver, CO, and Emma Zerr of Grainfield, KS; sixteen grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Leo J. Ziegler, brothers Joe, Mike, Julius, Dan, Ralph, and Pius Wildeman; sisters Barbara Malsom, Cecilia Dreher, Ragina Spies, Rosina Miller, and Katheryna Wildeman; and two grandchildren.

Services are planned for Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church in WaKeeney with Father Donald F. Pfannenstiel officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Vigil Service planned at 7:00 p.m.
