Carol Ann Billinger was born January 1, 1947, in Quinter, KS to the late Nick and Josephine (Herzog) Waldman. She passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010, in the Salina Regional Health Center at Salina, KS, at the age of 63.

She attended elementary school in Park and graduated from Park High School with the class of 1964. She attended college one year.


On April 16, 1966, Carol married Terry Billinger in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park, KS. She started working at the Long Term Care in Quinter in 1965 as a Certified Medication Aide and later moved to medical records.


She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Even with a busy schedule, her priority was always family first. She shared 53 years with her husband, Terry, which included 44 enjoyable years of marriage. Her other passions included her children and grandchild, shopping and watching her grandson race go karts.


Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, Terry of the home; two sons, Kerry Billinger and wife, Stephanie, of Park, Ron Billinger of Castle Rock, CO; a grandson, Brett Billinger of Park; a brother, Alfred Waldman of Park; and a sister Patty Younger and husband, Vern, of Columbus, NE. Her parents preceded her in death.

Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who spent a life of service, caring for others before her. Her love for family, friends, and community were unconditional. Her memories will be implanted in our hearts, always.

Services for Carol will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 27, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park, KS. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter, KS. & Vigil Service at 7:00.
