Brenda Sue Knouf, age 71, of WaKeeney, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter, Kansas. She was born March 2, 1949, to Galen LaVerne and Vera Mae (Brown) Knouf in Wakeeney, Kansas.

Brenda enjoyed life, despite the challenges she faced on a daily basis. She loved playing bingo, watching her favorite game show s, and going on outings with her fellow residents. A loved one shared what a treat it always was for Brenda when she took her for a Mountain Dew and a couple of scratch - offs at the local convenience store. The simple things in life made her happy . Brenda liked to stay busy, and she was always proud to share about her jobs cleaning and clearing tables. She had such a happy personalit y, and always had a smile on her face when she saw you. She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two brothers, Tony and wife Debbie of Iowa Park, Texas, and Marlin of Quinter. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gary Knouf.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. There will be a short visitation and viewing from 9 a.m. to service time, where friends are welcome to greet family. Private burial will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to DSNWK (Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas). Donations to the fund may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th Street, WaKeeney, KS 67672.
