Boyd Tuttle, 77, departed this life, May 5, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter KS.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home of Quinter.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Gove Community Bible Church with Pastor Paul Woodall officiating.
Boyd Tuttle was born on March 28, 1936 to Albert and Mary Tuttle in rural Quinter, KS. He attended the Hackberry School, Rural District 14. Boyd graduated from Quinter High School in 1954, and later served in the US Army in peacetime Germany. He started his agricultural career, first in a haying business, and later as a long-time farmer and rancher in Gove County.
Boyd was active in his community, serving on the USD 291 School Board, Gove County Medical Center Endowment Board, Gove County Soil Conservation Board, 4-H Leader, and Elder of Gove Community Bible Church. Boyd enjoyed basketball, crops judging, water skiing, 10K road races, bowling, traveling with Judy, and KSU Football games.
Boyd is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Albert Tuttle, brother J. M. Tuttle, and sisters-in-law Leona Tuttle and Betty Tuttle.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith Tuttle; brother Robert (Elaine) Tuttle; sister Marita (Wendell) Hill; brother Mahlon (Carolyn) Tuttle; daughter Myrna (Merle) Craig; son Craig Tuttle; son Troy (Melanie) Tuttle, son Derek (Jodi) Tuttle; grandchildren: Amanda Craig, Seth Craig, Maxim Tuttle, Karina Tuttle, Carly Tuttle, Myah Tuttle, Brennan Tuttle, Katelyn Tuttle, Kinsey Tuttle; great-grandchild Jude Pierce.

Boyd will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
