Obituary
Bobby Lee Clanton was born in Dodge City, KS, on October 13, 1954, the son of T. E. and Lois (Kelly) Clanton McIntyre. He passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2011, in the Hays Medical Center. He was a truck driver.
On July 3, 1973, Bob was united in marriage to Verna Williams in Hays.
Bob enjoyed fishing and camping and he treasured the times spent with his family.
He is survived by his mother, Lois McIntyre, of Edwardsville; a step-mother, Ann Clanton of Rathdrum, ID; his wife, Verna, of WaKeeney; three daughters, Angela Hafliger of Ellis, Cindy Knouf and husband, Kirk, of Quinter, Jamie Poage and husband, Tony, of WaKeeney; a son Robert Clanton and wife, Lisa, of Ness City; eleven grandchildren, Emily and Mathew Clanton, Abigail and Alyssa Hafliger, Caleb and Kaylee Knouf, Austin Clanton, Christopher, Dakota, Tommie and Phillip Poage; two brothers, Tom Clanton of Edwardsville, Johnny Clanton of Rathdrum, ID; and three sisters, Sue Clanton, Rosanna Hosek and husband, Tom, and Crystal Clanton, all of Rathdrum, ID.
His father, T. E. and a brother, Tommie Clanton, preceded him in death.
Services for Bob will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2011 at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney with Pastor Deb Harvey officiating. Inurnment is in the WaKeeney City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital and can be sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th, WaKeeney,KS 67672.
