Bernard 'Bernie" Dean Beydler was born July 30, 1936, in Delta, CO, to the late Bernard and Louise (Welsch) Beydler. He passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
On November 23, 1954, he was united in marriage to Twila Bartley in the First Christian Church in Oceanside, CA. In early years, Bernie worked for Farm Bureau selling insurance and later owned and operated WaKeeney Truckline, Inc.
During his spare time he enjoyed driving race cars (especially on a dirt track), hunting coyotes and fishing. He always looked forward to his fishing trips to Lake Texoma, OK with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Twila; three sons, Larry and wife Carla, Gary and special friend, Athenna, Alvin and wife, Becky; and a daughter, Rhonda Whisler and husband, Bob, all of WaKeeney; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Betty Beydler of Spokane, WA.
Two brothers, Kenneth and Alvin Beydler, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
Services are 10:30 AM Friday, January 28, 2011 at Schmitt Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Miller officiating and Interment is in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at WaKeeney.
