Obituary

Longtime WaKeeney resident, Barbara "Barb" Farber, age 50, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. She was born February 22, 1963, in Hoxie, the daughter of James Elbert and Rosa Lea (Trail) Farber.

Barb was proud to have completed her certification as a medical office and billing specialist. She worked as a unit secretary at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. Barb could often be found helping others. She spent some of her working life as a certified nursing assistant. She was most comfortable around other people and was known for her kind hearted personality. Barb regularly grew her hair out and had it cut to donate to Locks of Love to help those in need.
