Anthony "Tony" David Nowlin, age 47, of WaKeeney, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at his home.  He was born October 12, 1969 in WaKeeney, Kansas, to David Nowlin and Carolyn (Rohr) Schoenberger both of WaKeeney.

He was a 1988 Trego Community High School graduate. Tony was an avid hunter, fisherman, and beer drinker. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, playing cards, and making everyone around him laugh. Anytime Tony was around you could guarantee there would never be a dull moment. He served as a railroad engineer and conductor for 15 years with the Union Pacific Railroad. He currently worked at Ruder Farms as a ranch hand.

Tony was united in marriage to Tanja Michel on September 30, 1995, in Portland, OR. Together they had Kolton and Mackenzie. They later divorced.  In November of 2004 he married Kim (Schmidt) Pfannenstiel. They later divorced. On January 21, 2011, he was united in marriage to Brandi Billinger. Together they had Kayden.

Survivors include his Mother and Stepfather, Carolyn and Martin Schoenberger, WaKeeney, KS; Father, David Nowlin, WaKeeney, KS; his wife, Brandi Nowlin, WaKeeney, KS; four sons Kolton Nowlin, Ackworth, GA, Kayden Nowlin, WaKeeney, KS, Josh Betzer, Ackworth, GA, and Trevor Schmidt, Hays, KS,; One daughter, Mackenzie Nowlin, WaKeeney, KS; one step-daughter, Bailee Billinger, WaKeeney, KS; three brothers; Bill (Shelli) Nowlin, WaKeeney, KS, Kenny (Sandy) Nowlin, Loveland, CO, Tim (Beth) Babcock, Anna, TX; four sisters; Ruth (Lance) Blackwill, Quinter, KS, Leslie Smith, Hays, KS, Stacy (Zach) Smith, LaCrosse, KS,  Brenda (Lincoln) Pochop, McDonald, KS; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Brian Schoenberger and Grandparents Cleo and Louise Nowlin and Vic and Ruth Rohr.

Tony will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.

A family hosted memorial service will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00am at the United Methodist Church, WaKeeney.  There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen.

In lieu of flowers , the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tony Nowlin Memorial Fund, to help with his children's education.  Donations to the fund may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 North 12 ^th , WaKeeney, KS  67672.
