Allen R. Cunningham, age 62, of WaKeeney, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital. Allen was born in WaKeeney on December 28, 1959, to Samuel L. and Mary Jane (Aschenbrenner) Cunningham.

Allen graduated from the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas, and went on to be an automotive mechanic. He greatly enjoyed traveling, metal detecting, golfing, coin collecting, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan as well as KU Jayhawks basketball.

Allen is survived by his mother, Mary Jane; sisters Lori Mahagan of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Julie A Cunningham (Joseph Lupomech) of North Platte, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father Samuel, and twin infant siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Charles Steier as celebrant. Burial will then follow at the church cemetery.
