Albinus F. Zerr went home to be with his Lord on July 13, 2010. He was born November 14, 1933, in Park, KS, to the late Jacob and Emma (Heier) Zerr.
As a young child, he attended schools in rural Park.
On June 18, 1960, Albinus was united in marriage to Ella Rose 'Rosie' Dinkel in St. Peter. Together they farmed, operated a dairy and raised cattle in rural Sheridan County. He also drove the school bus and milk truck.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park. He and Rosie also belonged to the Sunflower Polka Club as he loved to dance, especially polka dancing. Other hobbies included playing cards and tinkering, modifying, and cobbling just about anything. He treasured the times spent with his family and friends.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Rosie, of Park; two daughters, Karen Berland and husband, Bryan, of Guthrie, OK, Lisa Hammersley and husband, Bill, of Wichita; eight grandchildren. Lexi Skaggs and husband, Justin, Jenny Williams and husband, James, Crystal Berland, Tiffany Berland, Brett Berland, Sarah Hammersley, Amanda Hammersley, and Adam Hammersley; a great-grandchild, Lily Berland; three sisters, Maurine Ziegler of Englewood, CO, Thelma Pfeifer of Morland, Rosalie Pfeifer of Quinter; and a sister-in-law, Armella Zerr of Englewood, CO.
His parents and a brother, Marcus Zerr, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Albinus will be 5:30-7:30 PM Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home in Quinter with Vigil service at 7:30. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Park with interment in the church cemetery.
