Agnes Armilda (Flax) Richmeier, age 83, of St. Peter, KS, passed away on January 22, 2021 at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, in Wakeeney, KS.

Agnes was born on September 26, 1937, to Frank I. and Catherine (Flax) Flax.  Her mother, Catherine, passed away in 1942, and Frank then married Clara Weber.  She attended school in Ransom, KS for three years before moving to Ellis, KS.  She graduated from Ellis High School with a diploma.  Agnes worked as a waitress, and on February 6, 1956, she married the love of her life, Edwin Richmeier, at St. Mary's Church in Ellis.  They were married for 64 years.  To this union were born six children: Judith, Shirley, Catherine, Jeanette, Kenneth, and James.

On June 1, 1970, Edwin and Agnes moved to St. Peter to take over the Richmeier family farm.  Agnes was a devoted homemaker and mother and loved the farm life.  She took great pride in working alongside her husband.  Agnes enjoyed sewing, playing cards, dancing, walking, and cooking/baking for family holiday gatherings.  She was a woman of strong faith and would always have a blessed candle burning on the dining room table.  She was a member of St. Anthony Church and Christian Mothers.

Agnes is survived by her husband Edwin; children Judi (Chuck) Feldt, of Hoxie, KS; Shirley (Randy) Eichman, of Fort Myers, FL; Cathy Conrady, of Lakin, KS; Kenneth (Vera) Richmeier, of WaKeeney; and James (Anna) Richmeier, of WaKeeney; eleven grandchildren, Brad (Melanie) Feldt, Kevin Feldt, Jason (Haley) Feldt, Cory Feldt, Nicole (Mitch) Percival, Eric (Megan) Ginn, Elicia Ginn, Taylor (Melissa) Conrady, Timothy (Paige) Wideman, Samantha (Tyrone) Evans, James (Kaitlyn) Richmeier, and Joey Richmeier; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother Alfred Flax; and step-brother George Weber.
